The Little Red Playhouse

The Little Red Playhouse (LRP) is an inclusive early education facility offering evidence-based services since 2008. Our morning programs include Tots, Little Learners, Pre-K Prep, Pre-K, Coco’s Camp (ages 3-5), and Camp Next Steps (ages 5-12). In the afternoons, we provide social skills programs, playgroups, and Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI).

Using Verbal Behavior Applied Behavior Analysis (VB-ABA) in EIBI, we teach language functions such as requesting and labeling, beginning with rapport-building and assessments through tools like VB MAPP and ABLLS. We create individualized plans and use a mix of structured and natural teaching methods, monitoring progress and adjusting goals regularly.

Our integration philosophy emphasizes full participation in activities with small class sizes and tailored support. We also partner with professionals to offer complementary services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, art and music therapy, and physical therapy, ensuring comprehensive support for each child.

Curriculum Development

In partnership with The Canada Summer Jobs Program, our team is developing a curriculum that can be used as a resource for other    institutions and policy-makers. The curriculum contains detailed, professional education programming and strategies for elementary schools, daycares and early intervention clinic and providers  to create truly inclusive and supportive spaces for children with Autism, ADHD, Language Delay, Global Developmental Delay, and other disabilities. The goal is to support families as well as other childcare and service providers to promote better support and integration of children with disabilities into programming and daily life.
